For those that don't know, a beautiful young lady Talia Joy lost her battle to cancer this week. She was a true inspiration to people all over the world with her youtube videos and zest for life even with her battle. When I think of her, I am reminded of her first time on Ellen when she said her motto was that of a young fish from a movie to just keep swimmin! The way she said it and bobbed her head was so dang cute!

I was so sad to hear of her passing! So when I heard about this idea I was all for it! here's mine!

Sandy Hook Promise Giveaway!!!!

So when I was headed to my in-laws in May and heard that OPI had donated 10,000 bottles of polish to the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation who in turn were doing a fundraiser at a hair salon in town on Sunday May 19, 2013.  Anyone that got a haircut or made a donation got a bottle etc. I wasn't going to be able to make it there until Monday so I tried to call to make the donation via the phone and have them hold the bottles til Monday but the Salon said they weren't doing anything with the fundraiser and hung up on me.

I sent an e-mail to the foundation explaining this and got an e-mail back just after I'd left the area Tuesday evening that gave me the details of where their physical office was that I could pick up a bottle for a $10 donation, a number I could call with a credit card to charge that donation and a $10 shipping/handling, or I could send a check to the physical address for the $10 for the bottle $10 for the shipping. I ended up paying $40 for 2 bottles.  The shipping for those 2 bottles was $5.85.

Incoco's Love and Liberty!

Hi there! I recently received a gift certificate from a company by the name of Incoco via facebook! They are I believe the original company that started the real nail polish strip appliques.  If I sent gift certificates to friends I was able to up it to $10 off I believe.  So I ended up getting three of their sets: into the deep which is a deep blue design set for my feet, Royalty pedicure which is a basic purple... you know me and purple :), and lastly the one I will review for you today love and liberty which I got for my nails for the 4th of July!
