heads up!

I know I haven't done a lot of swatching posts lately so to make up for it, next week will be 5 days of Zoya! I'll be reviewing a trio of colors a day from the Gloss, Diva, and Designer collections! The 5th niece that was due in the next two weeks heart stopped in the womb so we drove up to Iowa for the funeral and I'm still having medical stuff galore going on. Hopefully sometime in the next 2 months I will have the hernia surgery we have been putting off and that will greatly help things!

I also have coming up in the plans posts comparing different companies magnetic polishes with their magnets as well as with magnets I bought with unique designs! Some of the polish lines that will be a part of it are Deborah Lippmann, Claire's, Sally Hansen, Ulta, and several others!

Thanks for sticking around! I promise things will be picking up! OH! I also did get the Butter London mentioned in the previous post so I'll do a review of that too! ;)

I have also been putting together a huge blog sale so keep your eyes open... there are 3 Urban Decay collections in it!

Stampin Sunday!

So in one of my groups on Facebook we have what's called Stampin Sunday.  This was my first attempt at a full nail design. It didn't work well with my ring and pinkie fingers because they are bent at the knuckle so it makes it tough. It also didn't help that when I went to pick up the darker color bottle to move it I had forgotten the cap wasn't on tight so it slipped from my grip and splashed on those last 2 nails but fortunately not much at all spilled! You can look real close and tell I cleaned off the darker splash.  So anyway onto the pix:

I used SH 25 (shany) the one up top on the left.

The colors are ULTA MOODY BLUES and ULTA BAM-BLUE-ZLED

TADA!

Hopefully I will be playing more and be better as it goes! The challenge was we could only use blues. The bottles pictured are a little darker than in real life. They were against a box and the flap above flipped over and shaded it. Still setting up the studio but it's almost done! Bill put the other helmer together last night!  SOOOO excited!!!!  Have a good week all! Off to do my super bowl mani :)

You asked for it! Zoya Kristen!

Zoya describes Kristen as  a gull gray polish with a mild bluish hue.

I love this color! It kind of reminds me of Ulta's Bam bluezled that I used last month for the infant death mani. I think it's darker on the nail than in the bottle. Goes on smooth like satin. Please excuse the clean up as my cuticles are still being whipped into healthy :) I wanted to get this up for y'all asap! now onto the pix!

So depending on the light it comes off very light or a periwinkle darker than the bottle. What do you guys think?  you likey?

Disclaimer: this was sent to me for reviewing.  I was in no way compensated and this is my 100% own review.

Infant Loss and Awareness Day

So not a lot of people know about this.  I learned about this because of a sweet woman Liz aka Nothing But Nail Polish. She lost her son Eli and I've been trying to do a mani for him for a while so I did my mani for today in his honor.  I'm sorry the picture quality sux but it's also hard to see the decal on the color I chose. The link above is to Liz's post for today.  I got the same decals she did from the same place. She has a link to the Ebay person that has all sorts of cool decals!  Seche Vite also wasn't nice to my mani so that's why it looks so jack.  Anyway, it's the thought that counts....

So I used Ulta's Bam Blue-zled for the base and a pink from Color Workshop that I received actually from my sekwit punkin!  The intent was to do a design with the pink but it wasn't showing up so instead I did dotting and well, with shaky hands this is how it turned out. I wanted the thumbs also to just have the tips with the pink dots and the design.  They at least turned out ok :)  So Liz, this is my mani dedicated to your beautiful little angel Eli.
